2. Create and Share a New Presentation

In this video, you will begin creating your presentation.

To start, get together with your partner or small group.

If you haven’t been assigned one yet, ask your teacher.

Choose one person to click on the Google apps menu. Select “Drive.”

Your Drive is a place to keep the things you use or make when you’re online.

They will stay there until you choose to put them in the trash.

Your Drive is also where you find the Google computer programs that let you write, draw a map to your favorite place, or make presentations, such as the one you are creating.

Click “New,” then “Google Slides”.

And create a new, blank presentation.

Where it says “Untitled presentation,” add a title.

Include all of your first names.

Next, click “Share” to share the presentation with all group members.

This way, everyone can find, open, and work on the project from their own computers.

Type in everyone’s email addresses.

Press “tab” after each, then continue until you have included all group members.

Include yourself as well. Give everyone in your group editing access.

Editing access allows each group member to make changes to the presentation.

Click “Send.”

Later in the lesson, when everyone returns to their own computers, you will find the email about the shared presentation in your inbox.

You will click the Google apps menu, Then, select Gmail.

Click on the email.

And on “Open in Slides.”

This way, everyone in the group can work on the project both together and on their own.

Now, it’s your turn: Choose one person to click on the Google apps menu, Select Drive, Click “new,” and create a new blank presentation, Add a title that includes all group members’ names, And share the presentation, giving everyone editing access.
