1. Create Your Map

In the last activity, you linked street view images in Google Maps to your spreadsheet to inform users about a specific place.

In this activity, you will use Google My Maps to create your own customized map of the places in your area guide.

To do this, you will import the data from your spreadsheet into Google My Maps.

Then, you will experiment with My Maps features to customize your map.

Finally, you will link your map in your spreadsheet, so your users can use them together.

With this personalized map, your users will be able to see all of the places in your area guide at once.

Then, they can click on points in the interactive map to see your data in a new way.

To start, create a new map.

From Google Drive, open Google My Maps.

If you don’t see it in the menu, click More.

Name your map.

Then, add a description of your area for users.

In the next video, you will reuse the data from your spreadsheet by importing it into the map.
