8. Preview and Publish Your Website

Playback Speed:

In this video, you will preview your website to make sure it looks the way you want it to.

Then, you will publish your website to the internet.

To begin, preview your website.

Previewing allows you to see what the website will look like on the Internet, so you can make changes before publishing it, if necessary.

Check over your site to make sure there are no spelling or grammatical errors and that you haven’t shared any personal information.

Check that you have a clear layout in each section so people can read your slogan, understand why your issue matters, and know what action to take.

Exit preview mode and make changes to your website if you wish.

After you’ve made changes to the website, you’re ready to publish it.

First, adjust the web address if you’d like.

A web address is the location of your website on the internet.

Using words about your issue in the web address can make it easier for people to find you.

Then, manage who can view your website.

For example, you can make your website accessible to anyone online or only to specific people.

If you’re not sure, ask your teacher or guardian.

Finally, publish your website!

Now, people can find and see your website.

If you need to take your site down for any reason, you can unpublish it.

This removes your website from the internet so that no one can view it.
