In this video, you will use the list you created in the last video to choose a shape or shapes for your logo. You can choose a shape you like or that you feel matches your personality or personal qualities, like one with sharp lines and edges to show strength. To begin, open Google Drive. Create a new drawing and rename it.

Leave the tab with your list open so you can work in both files.

On the drawings tab, look at the Shapes menu. There are many different kinds of shapes to choose from, and you can use them to represent who you are.

You might use a heart to represent friendship, Or a sun to show that you love warm weather or are generally a happy person.

There are lots of other shapes you can use to express a quality you have. If you don’t see one you’d like to use, think about how you can get creative by using two or more shapes together.

For example, if you love cats, you might use a large oval and two small triangles to make a basic outline.

Later on in the lesson, you’ll add colors and text to fill in your logo and make it look complete.

To choose a shape, go back to the browser tab with your list. Look at the phrases and symbols you chose. Can you associate any with a shape?

Enlarge your shape. This will give you more space to create your design.

If you’d like, include other shapes in your logo that match words or phrases from your list.

You can put the new shapes inside or outside of the other shape.

Now, it’s your turn: Open Google Drive.
