Books are filled with all kinds of interesting information or stories that can take you on incredible adventures and give you new ideas.

While you’re in school, you might be asked to read something and then report on it.

Creating a book report helps you share information and your thoughts about what you’ve read.

In this lesson, you will create a report for a book the teacher assigns to you or one you’ve read on your own.

You will build your report as a presentation in Google Slides.

Organizing information on slides is easier to do than in a document.

On slides, you can define sections of your report more clearly.

And, if you need to present your report to an audience, you can show those slides during your presentation.

For your report, you will add slides that introduce the book...

Explain the settings and characters...

The main idea of the story...

The conflicts the characters faced...

And then a slide where you will add your thoughts about the book.

This lesson uses Google Slides, but you could apply these skills and concepts in any presentation application.

To start, sign in to your Google account.

Open a new tab in your browser, and navigate to google.com If you are not signed in, do so now.

If you do not have a Google account, pause the video and create one now.

Then, open a new tab in your browser.

Navigate to Google Drive, and open a new presentation in Google Slides.

Rename it.

Then, move on to the next video to begin building your book report.
