After KaMar listed his shoes for sale online, an interested buyer contacted him on the auction site and offered him more money than the sale price.

The buyer sent another message later that day and said they didn’t want to use the auction website because of service fees.

They preferred to buy the shoes directly from KaMar.

Later that day, the buyer called KaMar’s cell phone.

On the call, the buyer sounded like she was in a hurry.

She asked if KaMar could ship the sneakers overnight to arrive for an event the next day.

To begin, listen to KaMar’s call with the buyer.

[Phone ringing] KaMar: Hello?

Buyer: May I speak with KaMar, please?

KaMar: Yeah, who’s this?

Buyer: It’s Janel from the sneaker auction website.

KaMar: Hi Janel, what can I help you with?

Buyer: Well, I’m buying these shoes for a V-I-P entertainment client who needs to wear them at an event tomorrow night.

Would you be able to ship the shoes overnight?

I offered a lot more than your selling price.

It’s a great deal for you, so I’m hoping that you can hurry things up.

KaMar: Yeah, no problem.

I can ship them as soon as I receive payment.

Buyer: Yeah, I’ll send payment and you’ll get a confirmation email right now.

We really need the shoes A-S-A-P for this event.

Like I said, it’s a big-name entertainer who wants to wear them to a party tomorrow night.

KaMar: Okay, cool.

I’ll request payment on the app in a bit.

Buyer: Great, looking forward to it.

KaMar: Okay, thanks.
