In the previous video, you used a machine learning app to train a computer to recognize a pattern.
You also learned that the success of a machine learning model depends on the data you give it.
Now, reflect on your experience training the computer.
How did the training data you provided help it recognize patterns and correctly identify items in the test set?
What do you think the computer was looking for to distinguish the different items?
What errors did the computer make?
What might have made the images difficult to identify?
Did the accuracy improve as you trained the computer on more images?
Why do you think this happens?
Finally, what do you think would help improve the computer’s accuracy?
What other kinds of images could you include to help the computer learn better?
To answer these questions, open your machine learning journal from your Google Drive.
Or, create a new, blank document and name it “Machine Learning Journal.”
Add a heading that says “Train a Computer Reflection” and add the answers to your journal.
You do not need to type the questions in your journal.
They are just on the screen for you to reference as you write your paragraph.
Then, move on to the next video to wrap up this lesson.
Now, it’s your turn: Open your machine learning journal from Google Drive, or create a new, blank document.
Add a heading.
Reflect on what you learned.
And add your thoughts.
