In this lesson, you will make a family newsletter to share news about your family with friends and other relatives.

If some of your relatives and friends live far away, or if life keeps everyone busy, a newsletter can help them keep in touch with your family’s happenings.

Many people create newsletters to send with holiday and birthday cards, but a newsletter can be fun to receive any time of year.

You might even decide to send one every few months all year long.

As you complete this project in Google Docs, you will: Add headlines to your newsletter as you plan, Add stories to tell about your family, Format your newsletter, And share it with your friends and family.

This lesson uses Google Docs, but you could apply these skills and concepts in any word processing application or even on a piece of paper.

To work on this lesson, sign in to your Google account. Open a new tab in your browser, and navigate to Google dot com. If you are not signed in, do so now.

If you do not have a Google account, pause the video and create one now.

To begin, open your Google Drive, create a new document, and name it.
