In the previous video, you learned about giving and receiving feedback and created a new documentin Google Docs. In this video, you will add text and, if youlike, an image, to your invitation. This video uses a retirement party invitationas an example.
You will work on your own invitation. Don’t spend more than five minutes puttingtogether your invitation. It is okay if it is a rough draft or has mistakes. This willallow your partner to practice giving useful feedback.
To start, click in your document to type. Then, write the text for your invitation.
The retirement party example has a descriptive title at the top. It also includes detailsabout the party, including the “when,” “where,” and “why.”
It specifies who people should RSVP to.
If you like, include an image in your invitation that helps communicate your document’s purpose to its audience. You can search the internetfor an image, but select one that is free to use.
When you are done, move on to the next video to ask for feedback.
