In this extension, you will share your resume with a partner.
This is the first step to giving and receiving feedback.
Giving and receiving feedback is an important part of the editing process.
Other people can help you make your resume better and see mistakes that you may not notice,
and you can do the same for them.
To share your resume with a partner, you will find a partner in your class,
exchange email addresses, select sharing options,
and email your resume to your partner.
To begin, open your resume.
Find a partner in class to share your resume with.
If you do not have a partner, you can share your resume with a friend or family member.
Then, exchange email addresses.
In the document, click Share, and type in your partner’s email address.
Select the permission you want to use.
Edit means the person you share with
can make changes directly in your document,
comment allows them to make comments but not change your resume
and view lets them see your resume only.
Choose Comment, so your partner can make comments on your document.
Write a note to your partner to ask for specific feedback.
Once your partner has shared their resume with you, open it.
From a new tab or window, open Google Drive.
Then, look in your shared files for your partner’s resume.
Good job!
You are now ready to give and receive feedback.
Now, it’s your turn: find a partner,
exchange email addresses, give your partner editing permission,
and share your resume with your partner.
