In this lesson, you will create a Business Profile on Google to give your business an online presence.

Every day, people search for businesses like yours online.

Creating a business profile is the first step to make your business stand out online and attract customers.

When your business information is available online, customers can see what services you offer and easily contact and locate your business.

Even if you already have an existing website, adding a profile helps your information appear on Google Search and Maps.

The profile you create appears in local search results when people search specifically for your business or for the kinds of products or services your business offers.

Creating a free profile highlights what makes your business unique.

Your profile will let you manage how your business information appears across Google Search and Google Maps.

Your business profile can include: Your business location, The type of business you have, Contact information, Business hours, A description of the services that you provide, And photos and posts.

You’ll be able to update your profile at any time from your computer, tablet, or phone.

To begin, open a new tab in your browser, and navigate to www.google.com/business.

If you are not signed in, do so now.

If you do not have a Google account, pause the video and create one now.

In the next video, you will begin to create your profile by adding your business’s name and location.

This will help customers find you when they search.
