If you didn’t complete the previous activity, choose an online business product or service that you would like to create.
In this activity, you will pick a memorable and unique name for a business that reflects your product or service.
Then, you will conduct market research on your potential customers.
Market research is collecting information about the preferences and needs of potential customers.
To do this effectively, you will: Conduct an internet search for successful competitors, learn about their customers, use search terms to find reliable internet sources and relevant data, and determine the people most likely to buy your product or service.
Now, you will create a presentation in Google Slides that conveys your business name and purpose.
Google Slides allows you to outline details about your new business in an organized and visually appealing way.
The presentation you create will be a concise description of your business that informs others about your new venture.
As you create your presentation, you’ll insert new slides, add and format text to outline your business choices, apply a theme to give your slides a consistent look, and clean up and formalize your presentation to communicate your online business.
To start, create a new Google Slides presentation.
Open a new tab in your browser, then open Google Slides from the apps menu.
Start a new, blank presentation.
Then, give it a title.
Your presentation will be saved in Google Drive under this file name.
Your file automatically saves and updates as you make changes, so there is no need to save as you work.
Move on to the next video to create a design for your presentation and choose a name for your business.
