In this video, you will sit with a partner and conduct a practice interview.
One of the best ways to get comfortable doing interviews is to practice with someone else.
First, share your “Interview Notes” document with your partner.
Click Share and add your partner’s email address.
Select Can edit.
Once your partner has shared their document with you, open it
From a new tab or window, open Google Drive.
Then, find the file in your shared files.
Click it to open.
Find “Employer Questions” in the table of contents and click the link.
If you don’t see the link in your partner’s document, update the table of contents or
scroll through the document until you find the questions your partner collected.
Next, spend ten to fifteen minutes interviewing your partner
using the questions in their interview notes document.
As your partner responds to your questions, take mental notes
about their body language and their answers.
Does your partner communicate clear professional goals?
Enthusiasm about the job?
Knowledge about the business or position?
When you have both finished interviewing each other, give your partner feedback
in their document.
In your partner’s document, create a heading called “Interview Feedback"
Create a bulleted list underneath.
Add at least 1 bullet point that describes a strength your partner had while interviewing.
Then, add another bullet point to describe something your partner could improve.
When you have added at least 1 strength and 1 suggestion to your partner’s document,
open your document again to read the feedback your partner gave you.
Then, move on to the next video to wrap up this unit.
