If you use Google Meet and Google Calendar for work or school, you can add view-only live streaming to an event for up to 100,000 people.

A live-stream is a video broadcast to an audience over the internet.

You can use live streaming for training, large meetings, and conferences.

Live streaming a video call can: Save time and travel resources by training new staff remotely, Record training materials and make them available on demand to students or new employees, and Arrange speakers for your organization’s all-hands meeting.

To begin, create a live stream event.

Open Google Calendar and create a new event to set up your remote training or conference.

Add the event details, such as date, time and description.

Add the guests and rooms that can fully participate in the video meeting.

All guests added to this event can be seen and heard. And, anyone can present their screen.

Allowing guests within your organization to join the live-stream can help you give group presentations, share multiple collaborative documents, or hear from multiple contributors in one video call.

To finish setting up your live stream, add live stream to the event.

Save the meeting to invite all of your guests.

Then, when the meeting begins, select “Start streaming” to get started with your internet broadcast.

In some situations, you may want to create a view-only live stream event.

For example, if you expect a large number of participants or if too many guests could distract people from important content, create a view-only broadcast to keep everyone on the same page.

To invite specific people to the view-only live stream, create a view-only event.

The event appears on their Calendar and includes the link for view-only guests.

Now, it’s your turn: Create a new event in Calendar, Enter the event date, time, and description, Add guests that can be seen and heard, Include live streaming, Create a view-only event, Invite specific people as view-only guests, and save the live stream event.
